How to use Growth Paths Academy

A quick guide for families — getting in, teaching a lesson, tracking progress, and keeping your work safe.

Getting started

1. Install the app. On your phone or tablet, tap Install (Android/desktop) or the Share → Add to Home Screen button (iPhone/iPad). It then works offline, like an app.
2. Sign in as the instructor. Open Academy and sign in. Your access is protected by Cloudflare Zero Trust; each family has its own login.
3. Set up your family. The first time, add your first name and each student’s first name, age, and grade — that’s all we collect.
4. Pick a student & subject. Choose who’s learning, then open a subject from Courses.

Your family: instructor & students

The instructor (a parent) has full access to the whole family — adding students, seeing every report, and managing billing. Each student gets their own login key (a short code like RIVER-4827, with an optional PIN) that opens just their own space, so their progress stays their own.

Manage everyone under Students: add or edit a child, copy or regenerate a login key, set a PIN, or tap Open as to teach a student directly. Use the Who’s learning switcher at the top to move between children — whatever you complete is saved to that student.

Teaching a lesson

Each subject has 7 chapters, and every chapter has daily lessons. Open a lesson to see three parts:

• Concept — the idea explained simply, in a warm voice.
• For Example — a worked example to model the thinking.
• Practice — questions the student answers on the page. Typed answers are checked instantly; open-ended prompts reveal a sample answer.

When a lesson is finished, tap Mark lesson complete. Many chapters also have a Practice online button that opens a matching hands-on tool.

Tracking progress

The Reports page has two views. The family report shows every student at a glance — overall progress, lessons done, and who’s been active this week. Pick a single student to see their report card, broken down by subject. Tap Print for a paper copy for your records.

Backing up your progress

Progress is stored on your device. Go to Account → Backup to save a file you can keep or move to another device, and Restore to load it back. Do this before switching devices or clearing your browser.

Print workbooks

Every course also exists as a full-year printable workbook with an answer key. Use the online course for daily teaching and the print book for a keepsake or off-screen work.
